About Sensei University

The goal of Sensei University is to provide data from multiple fields in one place so that busy instructors can easily and quickly access training in the soft skills in the Art of Training Warriors. The most important question that Sensei and martial arts instructors have to deal with is “How Do I Teach People to be Kind and Gentle While Teaching Them to Kill?” My goal is to make SenseiU.org  your one-stop-shop for those resources.
About Author

Don Lewis, PhD

For almost six of my younger years, I ran a team of 27 field intelligence agents. I am a Warrior-Priest (upper-level black belt) and founder of a street and combat style of martial arts, Waboku Jujitsu, and taught it for over 40 years. I founded and ran STAY ALIVE, Inc., which contracted with government agencies to provide training and consulting on how to reduce the chance of workplace violence and how to survive it if it happens. I am a therapist and in addition to the standard range of clients, I have also done jail therapy and court ordered counseling with violent offenders. Now in retirement, my focus is writing about “What to Do While Waiting for Peace to Come.” My family, along with my books and this online dojo, Sensei University, are my focus as I go into the final years of my life. They are my calling and my peace.
